Version 4.0 features!

Here is an overview of the new features and changes included in PolyBoost 2.5

3ds max 9

Support has been added for 3ds max 9. Version 2.5 still works as normal in
earlier versions of 3ds max.

PolyShift

Interactive transform tool to freeform shape an object by moving vertices around
in screenspace with adjustable falloff effect. Makes it very easy to make quick
changes to the overall shape of an object.

Quadrify

Remove triangulation in model (Quadrangulate) to achieve foursided polygons.

More features, optimizations and fixes

  • Additional Align Pivot options - Center and Origo in a specific axis.
  • Faster load time for PolyBoost on startup.
  • ShrinkRing added, when holding Shift and applying GrowRing.
  • Shortcuts available for initializing the PolyDraw Edit tools on Editable poly
    objects.
  • PolyDraw - Picked surface to draw on can now be any geometric object
    and not only Editable meshes.
  • PolyDraw speed optimizations. Up to 2 times faster in some cases.
  • Improved accuracy when placing loops with SwiftLoop.
  • SolveSurf now sits in its own dialog, making the PolyDraw interface smaller vertically.
  • Shaded/Wireframe toggle added to the PolyDraw interface.
  • PolyShapes pixel distance bugfix.
  • BuildCorner, CornerLoop, PerspectiveSelect and RandomGrow rewritten.

descriptions of the tools and interface: Download

Some notes about the tools:
PolyBoost will work in 3ds max versions 5 - 9, 2008 and 2009. Most of the tools work on all subobjectlevels, so it's one tool for all modes. UVW-mapping is kept
intact for all the modeling tools and work with modifiers in the stack. Many tools
have an optional functionality when the shift key is pressed. This will either apply
the tool on the current selection only, or do another variation of the tool. Shortcuts
are available for all tools that do not require an interface in order to be useful. The
PolyBoost main interface, where all tools can be found is always available by
shortcut key or from a quadmenu.
